Avid Senior Product Marketing Manager Tim Wilson gave a close-up look at the newest version of Avid Xpress Pro on the latest version of the Mac OS. Tim discussed the history of the product and showed off some new features and functionalities.

8:00pm - 9:00pm | Tiger AVX Plug-ins - Noise Industries

Gabriele de Simone is the founder of Noise Industries, LLC, a company whose mission is to bring innovative graphics software to the Avid editing and special effects community. His prior experience includes working with Bruce Horn, member of the original Macintosh team, and on graphics projects for Apple Computer and Boris FX.

Thts BAVUG meeting was the debut of Factory Tools, a software suite for creating and sharing effects for the Avid AVX architecture. Based on technology found only in Macintosh OS X Tiger, Factory Tools brings unprecedented performance and infinite expandability: create new AVX plug-ins in minutes, without writing a single line of code.

Gabriele also showed Effect Market, an upcoming online community for sharing AVX plug-ins created by and for Factory Floor users.
